Sidewinder is going to strike alot so watch out
« on: June 14, 2007, 04:17:55 PM »
Well i threw the Sidewinder tonight in league drilled pin under ring and cg stacked for me a 4 1/2 x 4 1/4 drilling. The ball needs head oil or forget about throwing this ball, the light particle load and hybrid shell is very strong in fact stronger than a Big shot i have with the same drilling on it.

It does create some area and by the 2 nd game it was forcing me to keep moving in, no surprises it is stronger than the Ambush which i had 2 of. I never had the Eliminator but probably closer in total strength to that ball would be a good guess.

Nice color's i actually like the ball's readability very predictable and super great value. For the price this ball might give the Horizon series a run for it's money, i could see a dulled one of these as a primary oiler.

Alot stronger than you think but it never burned up and kept hooking no matter how much i moved my line, crankers will be looping the lane with ball.

It should be video time pretty soon.

Been a while, hope I remember how to work the camera.

I talked to an ex collegiate staffer yesterday and his words were:

"My dreams have come true, the Raging Inferno is back!!"

...Nut, have you seen any similarities to that ball?  I was amazed at the RI's ability to open up tighter backends when it came out while I was in college.

Sounds like a keeper! I, also liked the Ambush very much and this one may even be more versatile.

It is has been so long ago that i owned the Raging Inferno that i remember that for me the RI was kind of a ball that had a mild midlane and decent backend.

I can say that my drilling back then was almost identical, i went back to pin under ring's to make it easier to ball switch. I remember not loving the RI but i can tell you that the Sidewinder is a very good ball, i never saw this ball quit on the backend.

Out of the newer ball releases i would say the Lane 1 Nebula is the same kind of ball motion, the nebula has less backend though but very similar type's of motions. Starts kind of early but keeps on hooking not exactly what most newer stuff does but it will ignore carrydown and keep on moving towards the pocket.

Update i just heard the report on the other ball in town being used, it rolled really well with a totally different house that has more oil.

It started early and kept on moving with no quit, this was with a more highly skilled player than me with alittle bit more hand than me.
