Sidewinder Reactive (no particle) and Fury Pearl

What are the differences between these two? I'm think about selling my Sidewinder and getting a FP. Do you think the FP is better for the Medium to Dry than the SR?

Fury Pearl is a medium oil ball, it wont be any different, if anything, the FP is a stronger ball than the Sidewinder w/ no particle

I have never heard of a Sidewinder reactive.  Didn't it always have particle?

My dilemna lies in the fact that I mistakenly bought the Sidewinder (thinking it was the particle version) to go between my Gravity Shift and Full Tilt. Now since this the Reactive only version, its too strong to go under my Full Tilt, due to the core its basically side-by-side with the FT. I'm looking for something now that will fit that slot in my arsenal. If I had realized that this was the reactive version, I wouldn't have bought it. Right now the RS is drilled with the pin above the bridge and the cg is kicked out to the right about 1 inch. If I put some Snake oil on it, would that make it fit better?

There was a batch of them that went out with the particles added. I bought it on Ebay (cheap, but hopefully not a waste of money).

LuckyLefty, there are some Sidewinders that dont have the normal low load particle as most Sidewinders do. The few are just reactive balls with no particle. There was another topic in the Big B part of BR about the 2 Sidewinders.

Here's a link of a picture from a person who has both. It is easy to tell which is which.

One would think the Sidewinder reactive is very similar to the copperhead...but pearlier acting.

My Reactive Sidewinder is drilled with the pin about 1/2" above the bridge and the CG kicked out about a inch to the right of center. Can I use it on a Medium-Dry shot and if I need to go down and in, would it work?

from the sounds of it, your Sidewinder does not have a weak drill on it, so it is a good medium oil ball. To use a Sidewinder on light/dry conditions, you'd need a long pin-pap like 6 or 6 1/2 and pin-cg about 4. and take surface to 4000 Abralon and polish the ball til its a marble

Thanks, SV. On Saturday, I had a lesson with my coach to work on some things, and a friend of mine had some Brunswick stuff drilled (Copperhead, Fury, Fury Pearl TE, etc, etc). Also, I recieved my copy of the August BTM where there is a review of the Copperhead. Looking at the specs, I realize now that my SR could be considered a polished version on the Copperhead.

This fall, I am bowling in two leagues (synthetic house, wood house). I am going to use the SR as a medium ball in the wood house, while ususing my Full Tilt as a medium ball in the synthetic house. Saturday, I had a Circle High Voltage that I had in my house for over a year, drilled and I can use that as my Medium-Dry ball.

I have had both sidewinders and the one without particle is much more ideal on easier lane conditions. The low load of particle tends to blend out the end of the pattern when they are fresh but it died pretty early on me.

From my observations the fury pearl is really versatile especially with diff surfaces
