Siege a little touchy?

Just got this ball from a guy used, and the surface is at 2000 abralon. Overall I like the ball, it's got a nice heavy roll, maintains some for the backend, but it's a little touchy with the surface I've got on it. What kind of surface are you guys having success with as far as that goes? Thanks in advance.

It depends. Mine was best at around 4000 for the house shots, but for heavier patterns 1000 - 2000 was the magic number.

Since you bought it used I'd suggest starting over with a complete resurface. The reason is you don't know what has been done to it before. The ending grit is 2000, but what's underneath that? How many steps are under the 2000? It's hard to know unless you start fresh.
