Every ball has an intended purpose. This ball in particular has great length and recovery way down lane. Pin up is typically going to delay the reaction even farther downlane. With great length comes steep entry angles. Obviously, if this is your only ball, maybe pin down is a better plan or to scuff off the surface. I'd probably throw something a tad bit more aggressive midlane to eliminate the steep entry angle. Then change to this ball in game 3 of a league set as the friction in the lane develops. I just hate to see a ball get a generally bad "Carry" rating when reality is, the ball needs to be drilled and thrown in the right condition scenarios to strike consistently. This includes playing the right parts of the lane. There is a reason PBA players strike more consistently than amateurs. They are capable of creating optimum entry angles whether through hand positions, lane play, or a new ball layout. Often, they have to put that whole puzzle together in between frames.
