Title: Slay/R or Punisher
Post by: hotshot187 on April 07, 2005, 04:15:34 PM
Looking for a ball for medium to dry lane conditions.  Both of these balls fit that criteria, but which one do you guys prefer.  I am looking to purchase one of these balls just not sure which one.

Thanks,

Doug

Punisher is a lot stronger than the slay/r. If you're using the slay/r you NEED dry to make it move. If there's oil, it's not going anywhere, this includes carrydown.

well, you must have very open criteria then. these balls are totally different. The slay/r is VERY smooth, and weak, to say the least. Like said, if theres no dry, its not moving. It barely hooks for me when theres oil, and I have a fairly high rev rate. On the other hand, the punisher WILL move, and its very skid/snap from what i've heard. SO, if you have "true" dry lanes, and need control, the slay/r is the ticket, if you want big backend, and the lanes have "light" oil, the punisher is golden.
