Keeping some of the rust off and threw a few to compare the two.

Fresh oil. It is summer time and there is less oil. Both balls are drilled aggressive and can handle some oil with surface adjustment.

Thanks for the vids. Good comparisons overall. If i were to buy either or both, I'd place a simple label leverage drill on them to get a soft arc to the pocket. From there it would be all about hand adjustments.

Very versatile ball for the price point. You can easily drill two with different layouts and surfaces and prepared for a variety of conditions. Great ball for the price point.

Just ordered another Slingshot since they are discontinued.(been wanting the red/orange since it came out)

Kid,

I appreciate you putting these reviews out here.  The confusion factor is mixing in the reaction smoothing Rico drill.

Here is another review that really shows not only the different board coverage of these balls but also the increased angularity of the Strike King.

I was fortunate enough to see the first one on the lanes yesterday and I can confidently say there is dramatically different movements between the Strike King(angular move, flip) and the Slingshot which has a rounded look in almost in all situations.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtFX7uTHwFQ  from Video Ball reviews.

The difference is no surprise to me when looks at the core pictures and specs.

Strike King tall core which often implies angular

Slingshot rounded core which often implies midlane and rounded slurve

Also, note the different charts and angularity rankings 65 for the Slingshot and 85 for the the Strike King.  I think these rankings are right on.  Is the Strike King actually more angular than the Ringer?

I believe I have two different houses which will love both different reactions.  One the slurve of the Slingshot the other the flip of the Strike King.
