So the Strike King appears much stronger.  Why are low end balls getting stronger and stronger??

So the Strike King appears much stronger.

Please keep in mind that with his drilling and the added P3 weight hole, kidlost has maximized the ball reaction for both balls. There are much milder drilling available for both balls that would make them suitable for less oil with a more controlled backend.

because most people (Note, I did not say all) are encountering more and more oil, even on house patterns. If you're not one of them, put aside 1 or 2 of the old fashioned kind of dry lane, resin control balls, like the Slingshot, the Silver Recon Pearl, Chainsaw and the Blue/Green Centaur or, pearl urethanes, like the SuperNatural, and the Desperado.

I liked the video.  I should be drilling the black Strike King next week.  My Ringer has surprised me with it's overall strength, so this one should be a step below.

+1 Keep in mind both are drilled aggressively. Both are drilled to increase the diffs. and have strong down lane reactions.

Both can easily be drilled to reduce flare and be much more contollable on drier conditions. Just one example of comparing the two when drilled similar. The Slingshot uses PK17 cover circa 1995. It doesn't get much older then that.

You both missed my point, which is that a replacement low end ball is stronger than the ball it replaces.  So next year the low end will be a Meanstreak or Karma?  I'm simply talking cover.

I didn't miss your point at all. Look at the Freeze and the Cyclone. They're both significantly stronger than the balls they replaced and they've been out for years already. They're stronger in general because there's more oil and people love big hooking balls.

ANd not only are the covers stronger, the cores are stronger also.

For your slower speed and Rev rate those balls look awesome for you. Good video. I've heard reports from people about the strike kings being sneaky strong on the ths when you're by the friction.

So is the order of strength the Meanstreak > Ringer > Strike King > Slingshot if you get one before they are gone, or are the Ringer and Strike King roughly the same with just different shot shapes?

Armourboy, the Ringer will be stronger than the Strike King. The Ringer will handle more oil than the Strike King. Your steps from Meanstreak to Slingshot is accurate.

Good vid.  Were you bowling on fresh oil?
