Smash zone and Anaconda
« on: July 16, 2010, 12:42:57 AM »
Is the EnMotion reactive pearl cover on the Smash zone stronger then the Activator plus pearl cover on the Anaconda? I'm looking for a step down from my Smash zone when the lanes start drying out. Thanks

IMO...go more with the Rattler.  I think the Anaconda and Smash may be too close together.  I think the Rattler will give you a bigger gap and become more usable when the Smash is too much.  You could also give the Avalanche Green/Black a look as well.

The Anaconda will be stronger than your Smash Zone.  The Rattler will be very close in reaction to the Smash Zone with a different shape.  I would try the Avalanche Blk/Green.  It is a great ball to use in those situations.

IMHO, the EnMotion is the coverstock that is the cleanest through the heads of this bunch, and its reaction to dry lane areas comes IMO close to Activator+. Overall I''d consider it the weakest, though, does not handle oil well. or, from another point of view, handles lighter conditions and waning heads best. More overall oil is the realm of Activator and even more Activator+ with some light surface - I do not see them "under" the SZ. If you look for something "under" the SZ, I''d look at the lower ball lines like an Black/Green Avalanche.

Thanks guys. The smash zone handles a fair ammount of oil. I thought the anaconda would be weaker, oh well. I did have the rattler and the python in mind. What do you guys think of the python as a step down? Thanks

BigHorhn,
For me, the Python is similar to the SZ (in OOB), they both are a little skittish.  The main difference is the reaction to friction.  Thy SZ was smooth for me off the end of the pattern, whereas the Python reacts quickly to friction (ime it has been a sideways motion).  Because of this, I had to open up angles further with the Python, which it is very good at.  I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Dennis Rhodes

I also think the Python and Smash Zone are very close. If I were you I'd buy the green/black Avalanche as a step below the Smash. It's not a huge step down, however it's much more predictable as the lanes break down.
