Title: Smash Zone vs Rattler

Are these too similar to warrant having both? Does anybody have both of these and could you give a comparison? I picked up a Smash Zone not too long ago, just bought a Ultra Zone off the bowlingball.com sale and was looking into the Rattler.

From what i've seen the rattler will be longer and more angular then the smash.  I have 2 smash zones and I have seen a guy roll a rattler that was drilled just like my smash.  I think it is worth it if you like big b.

IMHO, these balls are good for the same condtion OOB, but achieve their performance in different ways.

SZ is rather rolly and revs up quickly. IMO not a flip ball, but skids more easily through the heads and reacts stronger to friction, delivering the core's energy quicker. IMHO good when you have a higher ball speed.

The Rattler has more back end and IMO reacts with its Activator shell less spontaneous to friction, should overall deliver a "sharper" look on the lane.

IMO I'd decide between them, not put both in the bag.

Can't go wrong with either ball. Try the Rattler with another layout you like to compliment your arsensal whe looking for a different reaction or when the Smash is having problems. you know me and my game. Either will be just fine. You can get the Rattler $100 shipped with the coupon code (last day) if ordered tonite....I love the Activator cover...9
