New Zone specs
« on: September 02, 2005, 06:27:39 PM »
hi,

I was told there is a new Zone coming out soon. Called Mighty Zone or something. I think the name is rather chessy. Does anybody know the specs of this ball?
Thanks!

There are the Mighty Zone I & II on the way, international balls. Both have some kind of Inferno core, one for light conditions (silver/purple - SS Extreme) and one solid matte for mucho oil (red/grey - PK24 [???] as coverstock). Both are on the approved balls list and catalogue pictures on "this other website" in the internationa ball section. No further details at that time.

But, nevertheles, there is always room in the normal ball lineup for another asymmetric Zone, maybe for light to medium conditions?

Haven't heard about the RA900 yet?

If we knew what SS Extreme REALLY is, the Mighty Zone I could be a long-awaited Inferno alternative for medium-dry conditions?

By the way, and although they are just illustrations, don't the core in these two balls look much more high-RG than the original Inferno core?

Additionally, after reading the ad text on the poster, I wonder why the tell about a difference between the AI and UI core?T hey are supposed to be the same, don't they?

Another question is PK24... maybe a solid Activator version - guessing which generation?

Questions, questions...

You can see the Red Alert 900 on this link. My friend in the pro-shop already seen the Mighty Zone I&II in Indonesia Open. Will ask him the details.

Looks like an Activator solid ball to me. Maybe an export version of the Strike Zone? The RA300 was just a Zone Classic in different guise, Brunswick might do the same again with other components.

I gotta say, I like the looks!

Mighty Zone 1 looks good and the spec is very tempting.

The Mighty Zone I sounds much like the Intense Inferno, while the Mighty Zone II has specs very close to the Ultimate Inferno, a touch more hook. Probably solid Activator+ on the coverstock? Nevertheless, nice balls indeed.
