*Ready for a new ball, What should I get*
« on: December 04, 2005, 11:15:29 AM »
Well its almost Christmas as all of you should know, well any way, My mom told me that she would get me a new ball for christmas. But i don't know what would go good with what i already have.

This is what i have...(LEFT HANDED) ALL OUT OF BOX SURFACE
Punisher(pin beside ring cg below ring down 3")
Monster Frenzy(pin below bridge cg to the right of grip center weight hole on pap)
Target Zone

I throw the ball about 15-16 mph medium revs.. throw the Punisher in my youth league with a Fresh THS. But now in a travel league and Highschool bowling so not always strong enough...

THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE!!!

Absolute Infeno...stronger than both mentioned and is an awesome ball.  Best pearl i've ever owned.

well normally with the punisher, i'm standing around 25 and out to between 10-15 at the arrows. with the Frenzy im usually standind around 15 and throwing over 10 on the same shot. As far as reaction goes, i'm wanting something kind of arch-ish, nothing real skid flip. i know this is in the brunswick forum but i've seen that Storm Fired Up and it looks like a good ball...

The Frenzy and the Punisher are pretty much the same... the Frenzy is its predecessor for exactly the same condition. Because both are drilled diffently I they might not react the same way, but they do not really make a couple for a wider range of conditions. The Punisher must be quite flippy, while the Frenzy is more for dry conditions, very tame. You might need a ball for more oil.

If you want to be more versatile, I'd also suggest am Absolute Inferno or a Vapor Zone, both stronger balls, for more oil and with a lower RG. Another option (if you are on a budget) could be a BVP Nemesis or the new Ambush. Less fancy, but a good complement to the balls you already have in store.

I was thinking something like a newer release... not the old monsters(not that they are real old)

I second the Nemesis.  Perhaps the most underrated ball in the entire Big B line.

I've been lookoing at the Vapor Zone in the proshop.. I've never had a asymmetric ball before, is there anydifference besides the Mass Bias? It looks really nice and I've seen a few thrown in leagues and seem to be able to handle the oil of our  fresh shot...
