Has anyone dulled the surface on their smokin and if so did you like the reaction you got. The reason I ask is I am not getting the reaction from this ball I thought I would. I really like the way it rolls but just not getting the carry, seems to be very over/under. I'm right handed and have it drilled pin over ring finger cg to the right a little with a weight hole. Don't know that much more about the drilling, I leave that to my pro shop guy.

Is everyone throwing this ball in out of box condition. There has to be someone who has altered the surface of this ball. Any help is appreciated.

I have put the surface on mine at 2000 Abralon and I love, smooths out the reaction very nicely. Still get a good amount of backend, but not a hockey stick reaction. Try that and see how it works.

Thanks laner7pin and tha fluffer for the response. Tha Fluffer it sounds like you were having a similar problem as me. Changing the surface was my first choice before trying a different layout. I also went to Brunswick's web site and this is what they say on their smokin information page, When dulled: The Smokin’ Inferno hooking action will increase and its arc will become more even, creating a better match-up for oily lane conditions and help blend the over/under reactions seen on wet/dry lane conditions..

I also put mine at 2000 and it rolls great
