how did this react for you???

still want angular but less jumpiness.  will this do??  I am pretty damn slow speed 14mph, stroker with med revs and med axis tilt.

i got mine drilled 2E, few words for you, use 2L, but after i scuffed it up a little bit it works fine for me now but it could be better with 2L for me.

Friend of mine has a SI with 2E in box condition, as many of his balls have. Ball was very inconsistent, especially on oilier turf. Didn't finish well, slipped through its breakpoint and hit occasionally like a marshmallow.

Recently he changed his release, though, to a bit more revs, and now the ball works for him much better. Breaks quite early (35', I think) and does not cover many boards - but it does not have to. It does not lose much energy on its long way to the pins and hits very well, great carry. Much better than before, when many wide open splits were left.

As with any "nervous" polished pearls and since the SI has such a sharp breakpoint, I consider 2E very condition specific on this ball. Probably, an L drilling will get it further down the lane for a later, stronger backend and more overalll hook (= more boards covered)

My Smokin' is drilled 2E, and is in box finish, and it works well for me on conditions that have broken down somewhat.  It seems that the key to success with the Smokin' is making sure you have enough friction on the lane;  in box finish, it *hates* oil.

I should also mention that, of the people I know out here who have tried changing the cover, none have had much success with it on oilier conditions, even when scuffed.
