2 Big B staffers on TV

With them bowling on the Cheetah pattern, will the new Total be too much ball?  Parker Bohn is back along with Rash.  Anyone know what they were throwing during match play?  Lots of big scores this week.

imo the total will be too much ball, there are many better choices in the big b line up for this shot. but then again, chris barnes was throwing an epxt1 and an action on e last season...

You must realize, the cheetah pattern has an extremely high volume of oil.  Even at 35 feet, is has almost 23 ml of oil, which is a good amount of oil.  You need balls that will pick up a roll in the high volume, and give you a clean look off the end of the pattern.  I think the Total would be a good ball for Rash on this pattern with his high ball speed.  Parker matches up well with the Activator + cover on this pattern so look for a Vapor Zone.

Rash threw the Mammoth for most of the week.  Just about all of it actually.

Wow.  Hard to believe a guy with as much hand as Rash has can throw an early-rolling high-load particle ball.  What kind of surface prep did he have on it?  I'd be stunned if it were OOB, or even if it weren't polished a good bit.

Why?  I know several high-speed, high-rev guys that use particle to even out the lane.  The Goliath was a great ball for this;  I'd imagine that the Mammoth would be, too.

I agree(like usual) with BC. Balls like the Mammoth and Goliath are awesome for taming these types of conditions.

Yep, it's good to see Danny Wiseman (Big 'M', lol) along with a couple Big B staffers, Rash and Bohn, representing the best equipment in the world on television.

As to the topic... wow. Um, actually the Total Inferno would be a pretty good piece on the Cheetah. There is a good amount of oil in the mid's on this pattern, but the outsides are bone dry. This creates a bit of a walled up shot for these guys, but they are looking for equipment that won't overreact off of the dry. They need something to read the mids, and a Total with some surface would be great for this.

You'll see Danny throwing either the Seek or the Revs on this, I'm sure.

Parker will most likely have his Vapor and Rash probably a Total or Mammoth.

Should be a good show!

Perfect reason for Sean to throw a Mammoth.. Especially with his speed and revrate..

Until my Eliminator got chewed up, it was my one and only for shorter patterns..

It's all about control guys.. That's why U usually see Barnes gunning it outwards from 5.. Early read and less backend to control the breakpoint and line to the pocket..

In the first 7 games of qualifying, Rash used a Mammoth early until the oil migrated downlane and then I saw him throwing a Total.  Loschetter had a great look with a Strike Zone and he appeared to have used it all 7 games.

It isn't that I think they'd smooth it out, with as much friction as Cheetah has I can certainly see how the smoothness would be an advantage.  My concern was burning up in the long dry area, with as much hand as he has.
