Have you been getting dishonest feedback?
Many of us on here try our best to answer questions based on our own experience.
"Feedback" is going to be based on about a zillion different variables. We all bowl on different lane conditions, as well as having different attributes to our physical game: Ball speed, rev rate, axis tilt, lane surface, amount of conditioner used, type of conditioner used, fresh back ends or not, temperature, humidity, and the list goes on...
For me to compare the two only helps one to understand the difference based on the conditions I see, not necessarily what you routinely see.
I have never wanted my 2.5 at 1000 grit. So I can''t answer your question (honestly). But I SUSPECT that there would be some similarity on the midlane read, it''s just that no ball at 1000 should be as angular late on the lane as the other at 4000, in my (honest) opinion.
