BVP AMBUSH Thread - Opinions & Thoughts
« on: November 11, 2005, 05:10:27 AM »
Hey guys, just wondering what you all think about the newest BVP release the AMBUSH. I really like the specs on this ball. First of all, it's a low-load particle with a "hint of pearl" according to Brunswick.

I see this ball as being pretty clean up front and smoother in the back (with OOB polish, low-load particle & a hint of pearl).

Right now I'm looking for a control ball that will smoothen out the backends, but something that won't burn up too bad in the back with most "high load particle balls."

I'm curious to see what this ball does on most Sport Patterns or when the backends are really snappy. Hmmm, maybe my next control ball? If I don't like the reaction with the OOB polished surface, heck, scuffing it up might tame it down a bit.

What do you guys think of this ball? Control Layout Suggestions? (Specs & video in my profile)
Thoughts from the Staffers & Consultants & Users are welcome! (BrunsNick, RobLaw, BrunsRicH, etc.)

Thanks everyone!

it looks like a great ball, im not a fan of the core though.
thats probably because ive never thrown a ball with it.

i was going to give one to my dad for christmas, but hes going to get my rhino PTE instead, because i ended up getting a smokin inferno for $90 shipped online.

ive had a particle pearl, in my Columbia Flipside WOW Pearl, and it definately tractions in oil, but still gives you length. its kinda wierd, but versitle.
it tractions in oil when you need it and skips over dry also.

ive had 748, 738 and 700 with it, its a shame it died from using it too much on a drier shot.

I haven't seen a ball with this core that has looked anything but great!

Another question for you guys...Has Brunswick manufactured a ball with the same type of coverstock make-up in the past?

Ambush Coverstock Consists of...
-Light Load Particle
-Hint of Pearl

For some reason, I can't think of any off the top of my head.
Thanks!
