Title: So why IS everyone loving Brunswick so much?
Post by: TheBowlingKid25 on March 10, 2005, 10:10:04 AM: I know I know, I am another one of those people, but why does everyone else like them so much? Me personally, I know I could find balls that do the same thing as the Brunswick ones I have, I just like them. They match up. It seems though, that everyone on here is going crazy over Brunswick since "The Nation" has been started. Do you have a real reason to love Brunswick so much? I like them because they have everything that I need.

The REAL, Official Brunswick Nation was started for those who had a full, brunswick-only line-up and intended to stay that way. Heck, I even waited until i got rid of my maxim before I started it, since I wouldn't have truly been part of it. Now we got people buying one ball and saying they're part of the Nation...It wasn't supposed to be a cult, just a group for the Brunswick-Only people.

I love brunswick because I love the reaction of the stuff i have. Sure, other companies have solid reactives, but nothing truly compares to the Monster Bruiser (as others would say of the V2 Sanded of legend).

Post by: Centers on March 10, 2005, 06:24:59 PM: I just got rid of my Ultimate Inferno. Balls rolls out and looses power when it hits the pins. My Cuda 2000 does an excellent job, and now with addition to my Hi Rev, mabey more honor scores to come.

I still throw a Power Groove, great ball for the less oily conditions. Also a VizaBall for the scortched lanes...

It truly is a unique coverstock, no other company really has anything the same (i'm not saying it's better, just different). Gets through the heads like a reactive, but can arc like particle or snap like reactive, all dependiing on cover prep.

Plus, how long has Brunswick been in the business? Brunswick is responsible for bringing the game into the public arena. The intro of the first high performance bowling ball? The automatic pi-setter? Where would we all be without the B?

Post by: UCFKnight300 on March 10, 2005, 07:03:09 PM: Well I've liked em almost since I've been in college. We signed with them my freshman year, being the fall of 2002. I didn't really like the stuff that was out at the current time (igniter ect.) but then came the Eliminator and everything after that has been pretty much da bomb. The activator cover has really been something else for me. In my current arsenal i have all activator or plus and a punisher. Awesome stuff, it is hard to imagine us not being with them. I'm truly happy they were gracious enough to let us represent their equipment and company.

PERHAPS, but I doubt it. We WILL know soon though. Ric said that brunswick is releasing a performance line ball in june. We'll see if it's the inferno name or something new...

I just got my Absolute Inferno punched last night and it is sweet! As you see in my sig I am a FOS member, but I am seriously considering getting an Intense Inferno to go with my Absolute. I have a Golden Nugget (PK17cover) and a Dirty Bomb (Activator) so I thought I would try the total package- Brunswick cover w/core. Brunswick has its program together.

Heavy roll, midlane and good backend hook and great hit!
Particularly great for lefties and all the midlane oil we usually see.

BUT, in general they were not top of the heat on the pro tour as recently as last year.

On Kegel oil it always seemed that most of their stuff just grabbed to early on the show much of the time. This included particles (ie Eliminator always looked bad(and a great house ball), REactives were very touchy, and also even the Inferno looked like Crap! All too grabby while storm dominated along with Dynothane.

Now all of a sudden Brunswick oils are being used. All of a sudden for whatever reason the lanes appear wetter. More viscous oil, higher volume, I don't know. But Brunswick balls and their heavy churning motion look to be a perfect fit. Members of the Dynothane and Storm set are complaining about going too long most of the time.

The Inferno with Activator also works (like particles were suppossed to ....to smooth over under. Therefore Brunswick now rules.

The question with everyone switching to Brunswick because of the show results, have their conditions really changed at home and maybe they should be still using the cleaner thru the heads and mids Columbia and Storm covers?

Are your lanes dressed with Brunswick oil?. If yes viva la nation if not hmmmmm!?>>>>???

If it ain't Brunswick don't want it in my hands. I am now an addict to these things and will never drop my addiction. Every company has a ball that will do what a Brunswick ball will do but If there is Big B on the ball then it means nothing to me.

Coverstocks are awesome and you know what the names of each and every ball all kick butt as well. Monster and Infernos what a great way to liven up a bag.

1930's & 1940's: ned day and andy varipapa
1950's & early 1960's: don carter
1960's & 1970's: dave soutar, dave davis, johnny petraglia, billy hardwick
1970's & 1980's: mark roth, mike aulby
1990's: mike aulby, parker bohn III, walter ray willimas, jr.
2000"s: parker bohn III, brad angelo, mika

my entire arsenal is brunswick and always has been. i can't see a reason to buy equipment fronm another company. the equipment is great....the customer service is great....what else can you say ?
