Did you ever have one of those nights???
« on: April 07, 2005, 12:42:12 AM »
Well I finally signed up after reading these forums for some time now.  Had to tell you about my night last night and ask for ideas.  By the way, 700Virgin will remain my sign-in.  Went another year without one.  697,684,674, 667...apparently can't close the deal.

About last night....got to the BA early and shot a practice game to loosen the legs.  All X or 9 counts.  Game one of league, all X or 9 counts.  Game 2 of league, all X or 9 counts.  Game three of league first six Xs, then after 42 consecutive X or 9 counts.....3.  Yes 3 on a six-bagger.  Imagine my pride!!!

Anyway, needless to say after 42 consecutive X or 9 counts, I was due!!

My question - I was using an AI.  Most 9 counts were 10 pins or an occasional 7 or 4 (high - the 4s I understand).  Left one dead 8 pin (still don't understand that one).  I am not a high rev bowler.  Right handed.  Seemed like I got better carry playing inside, and when I went beyond the first arrow, while getting to the pocket with ease, would leave 10 pins.  Light hits had better carry than solid pocket crunchers.

Any thoughts....by the way missed 3 or 4 ten pins (normally don't miss) and ended with only a 621.

Welcome to the club...sounds like me since December.  I had 4 700-some sets from August-November.  Since then, no 700's.  My carry has gone down the tubes completely for the most part and I do not know why.  I have worked on my game and I have a pretty clean approach and release so I don't know what my problem is.  Maybe I should retire my Vendetta Particle that has like 500 games on it...who knows.  I just keep sticking with it since I shot 791 with it last year, hoping it will wake up again.
