Starting from scratch
« on: July 18, 2020, 08:05:37 PM »
Hey everyone. As a lot of you who’ve seen my posts over the past few years know, I love Storm/Roto Grip equipment. It’s all I’ve used for the past 5 years. However an opportunity is presenting itself that will have me being unable to use said equipment. I will be having to use balls from the 7 different Brunswick brands. I just want your all’s advice on let’s say a 6 ball arsenal, spare ball being #7. Thank you all in advance for your help.

I would wait for the new stuff coming, I think Tuesday is the information release date.
I know if I started from scratch I'd go with these based on the current information

Hammer Redemption Solid
Track Proof with short pin or a Results
DV8 Warrant
Radical Bonus
Ebonite Stinger Hybrid
6th ball could be a Umotion if you need urethane, an Uppercut or Melee Jab, Phantom

I've been browsing the approved list and I am liking what I am seeing. I have heard comparisons of the Verge to the Phaze II, which is my favorite ball of all time, and if the Verge Pearl is stateside I feel they would be a great one two punch.

I've always seen more motion from the Phase 2 compared to the Verge.

Bonus is supposed to be along the lines of the Radical Intel.

For me, I've liked a lot of the Brunswick/DV8/Radical balls from the past few years. The recent stuff with the EBI takeover just doesn't wow me much, even though there's been a lot of praise for them.

Picked up a 900G Money Badger that rolls great for me. The Axiom and IQ Tour Nano Pearl are next on my list

I like the Vintage Phantom ( similar to IQ Tour) and Hero.  Really not familiar with much other Brunswick stuff.

Can't build that arsenal without a results TBH and a counter attack solid.

Start there with those 2
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

Honestly, just keep it simple and get with your pro shop guy.  You are basically trying to narrow 75 balls down to 6 and coming on here is just going to flood your head with so many combinations your head will spin.  Here is what you could do to start and then fill any gaps as you go if needed.

One solid and one pearl from the high performance (asymmetricals)
One solid and one pearl from mid performance (symmetrical)
One lower end ball like a Beast or Rhino
One urethane ball like the Phantom or Purple Hammer
