Which one is stronger? Which one is smoother? Which one is more angular?

Both should be very similar in shape and amount of angle. I think if you drill both identical they would be almost identical with the Strike King being the bigger hooking of the two. Smooth for either will depend on surface adjustment.

Have a Strike King and had a Tropical Breeze hybrid. Both had pin in same location and both with weight hole. The Strike King was more angular and both was very easy to get down lane. Breeze is a lot smoother if that's what you're looking for, but the Strike King had better carry as I moved deeper. Playing up the boards the Breeze is awesome, but it was very good as the lanes transition and had to move deeper. Just my $.02, Bruce

The diff on the Strike King is .028 Tropical breeze has a diff of .009.
This is a lot of difference in flare potential and explains very well why one can't get inside and carry with the Tropical Breeze vs a little bit inside with the strike king can work.
I find my Strike King drilled the way it is can carry at the deepest near the 3rd arrow. But I believe that is partially because of the very much label type drilling which often gives me very little midlane. Pin about 5 above ring and cg almost to grip center.

Undrilled rg and diff change greatly depending on the layout. When you have the pin even or above the fingers the diff will be in the low .020s, adding a flare increasing x-hole will put it to .030.
None of that means you can't play deeper. That depends on the lane condition, and the bowler. The Breeze is made for drier conditions. The Strik King will handle much more then dry conditions because of its cover stock.

Oh, yes, I could play deeper with many other changes to the drilling, weightholes or surface, agreed.
With this setup, it is ideal for the condition.,,,and I play close to the friction. I like it so much I might get another and set it up differently.

PS if I had a Tropical breeze I would tend to drill strong for what I like to usually do with very weak cored balls.

I stopped focusing on the core numbers and pay more attention to what the manufactures intent for the ball is. Since they factor all of those things into the design of the ball it seems to really work well. Some guy was complaining about a new storm ball and the core numbers of the 14lb vs the 15. Saying the RG was too high at 2.53 vs 2.48 in 15lbs. I couldn't help but laugh

Thanks kidlost and luckylefty. I appreciate the comments. I had a smash zone drilled like your strike King lucky and even though it wasn't a dry lane ball I could use it on light to dry oil conditions. I get your point Kid on the differential comment, that tells my a lot about the two balls that I over looked. I'm trying to get away from something as weak as my slingshot. So strike king it is.

The SK is going to be stronger then the Slingshot and is a great step up. The Storm Tropical Heat would be a closer match to the SK. The Tropical Heat is no longer a current ball.

As long as it goes under my Loaded revolver that I use for light mediums I'm good.

Loaded revolver,,,,ah, I have one of those too.
A strong core with lots of flare and yet a very smooth almost slow response coverstock on it.
The SK 13 is much more quick reacting but the core is weaker.
To summarize, I get smooth large board coverage from the Loaded and from the Strike King I get small board coverage but a quick hard hitting move.
The loaded almost took me to Vegas to bowl for $50K, (switched to it too late) the Strike King may do some exciting things in league on a shot where I like it's quick uppercut to the pocket!
