Decided to drill up the Red Strike King today and threw my first 3 games with it. It is stronger off the spot then the Black Strike King. The Red wants to start digging in sooner. Both will be very useful this upcoming fall season.
Red 55 x 4.5" x 30 with p3 x-hole

Good video.. I still don't remember you ever hopping at the line as much as your last 2 videos.. What did you find the main differences to be with the Rico drill??? Do you think it would be a favorable drilling for me to try ?? LMK

I would assume the difference in ball reaction was due to the difference in the drillings, more than the colors.

Layout is the main factor to consider and to be honest, I think variations in OOB surface texture may play more of a roll than even color.
I looked at a Red/Orange Strike King at the shop this week and I saw more visible sanding lines under the Rough Buff and polish than on two other Strike Kings of different colors. It was to a point that I wouldn't have given it to a customer if I had time to correct it.

It's a major reason why the use of Rough Buff is problematic at best: there are too many variables, even when done with the machines in the manufacturing plant. Results are too variable.

This house usually has a little more oil then the previous house for the Black SK but summer time mode is in effect. This video is for 3 of the 4 games I bowled on the fresh and they changed quickly.
It is hard to tell in the video but the Rico drilled ball is smoother then the Red. It has a little more length and a little smoother reaction off the dry.
The Red starts digging in sooner and reacts much stronger to friction. The difference in balls is certainly the layout. Just like the Slingshots were only color variations these are no different.
The hopping is from bowling once every few weeks at best and usually in a hurry. I noticed when I slowed down my feet for this video the balance was a lot better. I still bowled these 4 games as fast as possible because I was running late for other plans I had made.
During the season of bowling it is isn't an issue, and I'm usually lower at the line. Not being up to speed and bowling every few weeks has its effects.

Its not an option. Ive checked before. It has to have something to do with the phone software because it will let me on mine. You can try going to bowlingball.com and looking at the vids under the black strike king and see if that works.

Great video, kid. I really appreciated the comparison. I'm surprised how strong the Red is. The line you were playing with the Black is more what I'd expect from the ball.
I'm still considering one of these. But in the end I think my Teal and Gold Rhino Pro would stand up against those two balls just fine for me.

The Rhinos are great balls no doubt but would be a step down from these for sure. For an entry level ball this is a lot to have.
