The Freeze is definitely a stronger ball than the Slingshot. No way the PowerKoil 17 is as strong as the cover that was on the Momentum and it was a high end ball a couple years ago. But, in fairness to the poster, CONGRATS on the monster set and honor score. Keep us updated in the weeks to come and are you thinking of drilling another Slingshot with a different layout?

But seriously, this is a thread for the Slingshot and you have to interject with your own FIGJAM about your latest 800 with a completely different ball? If there was a FIGJAM Annonymous, I think would would benefit from it. You make Rev_O and Necromancer very proud.

Bear in mind that the Sling has PowerKoil 17, which is a reactive resin cover. If they are fried, the ball is still hooking as soon as it sees friction. If you are on lighter and/or shorter patters, the ball is money. If you have any rev rate whatsoever and the heads are fried, the cover is still going to want to read that burn. If you want "smooth" on burnt/fried conditions, urethane still may be the better way to go.

So far I'm impressed, too. Play the friction. Just when you expect it to dive through the nose... it holds the line and hits. What a nice weapon!
