I have really been enjoying my Avalanche Slide on broken down head conditions. Very, very clean through the heads, yet hits hard off the dry.
It seems as though the economic downturn has resulted in dry to light medium oil being the usually encountered lane conditions, medium oil is now a heavy oil pattern. All my really aggressive coverstock/core stuff is now in my closet.
Okay BrunsBob - how about an Avalanche Danger for the next release - use that good old core from the Danger Zone - after that, maybe an Avalanche Monster with the Red/Black Monster core. I''ll even suggest the colors, the Avalanche Danger will be a polished black solid with red & white logos and the Avalanche Monster will be a polished dark midnight blue solid with red pearl with white logos (or black solid and blue pearl cover if you want). Who knows, customers might be interested in a hybrid with a low Diff. core from Brunswick.
A personal favorite would be an Avalanche "Punisher" with the inverted bell core and N''ControlPowerBoost cover - then again the Danger Zone core would be fine - Make mine black and silver pearl.
Coverstocks in this series would be Powercoil XD, Powercoil 18, N’ControlPowerBoost, or similar proven covers - and yes, a urethane might be just the thing. Cores to be "simple symmetrical" in the .024, .034, maybe even to .044 range
The Brunswick Avalanche Series are a great line with strong performance, and long lasting, low maintenance coverstocks.
A similar series above Avalanche with the asymmetrical Zone Classic core would be nice - wouldn''t complain if it were merged into the Avalanche Series although it might be confusing - like when zones became symmetrical and asymmetrical. The cores you use as your "generic cores" have proven popular for a reason - ball with them are still in many bowler''s bags - they work.
Thanks for the good stuff Brunswick
