Title: Thank you pro shop guy from 6 years ago...
Post by: Easy10pins on March 01, 2007, 09:03:58 AM
I was on Yahoo messenger when someone popped up asking my name.  Come to find out it's the old pro shop owner of the shop I used to work at.  Jason Shimek.  This guy maintains a 230 average with a houseball.  Anyway, we get to chit chatting and finally the convo is about my game and the troubles that I am having.  He immediately asks for my drill chart so I scan it and send it to him.

10 minutes later, he comes back and tells me that the drill chart that I have is far from what he still has on file.  I told him it was 6 years ago and I have made changes and tweaks to my game.  He stated I may have made too many changes.  So he scans and sends me my old drill chart.

Being that March 4 is my birthday and I have a new ball and shoes coming my way, I think I may use my old drill chart for the new ball to see if I can get my A game back.

Mind you, when I was bowling back then, I maintained a 215 average over 3 leagues.  So I must have been doing something right.

Now I just have to decide which Big B ball I'm going to get.

Just thought I'd share.

WOOT!

Red Zone, no doubt, start off with a solid ball.

I have not thrown the Red Zone. So I would recomend the Total Inferno. This has been my favorite ball in years

Wow.  Would that we could all have pro shop guys with that sense of initiative and service.

And OBTW, Happy Birthday.

He was just good like that and thank you.  He scanned all of his hand-written drill charts and kept them on file.

I just wish I could find a pro shop that knew how to find my PAP

Is it that difficult to find a good pro shop?

This guy maintains a 230 average with a houseball.

That's very hard to believe on today's lanes and lane conditions, unless that house has BVP balls as house balls.

He was just good like that.  If he could fit his fingers into a ball somewhat comfortably, he could strike with it.

Plus the house his shop was at was a consistently dry THS.

I don't doubt it.  The "manju-scented ahole" speaks very well of you.

Speaking of which, I'll see him next week.

You gonna come and play on the Mainland anytime soon?

Poor guy.  I just spent a "hole" week with him in Vegas.  I'm not sure when I'll be up there again, maybe in June for the Roller.  When are you coming to Hawaii for the regionals?

That's a long way to go just to watch bowling.

Why don't you bowl?  They put on a good tournament here.

For me, bowling in Hawaii would be a good vacation ruined.
