Title: Thanks Brunsnick!
Post by: dougb on February 01, 2011, 01:06:17 PM
I had the good fortune to bowl with Ronnie Russell at the Pro-Am at Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl last weekend. Ronnie is a super nice guy and seeing as he is Brunswick-sponsored he really got a kick out of the Gold Rhino Pro I was throwing.
Some time during the second game he brings this guy over and tells him to check out my ball. He asks me if I am the guy who posted a figjam about my Gold Rhino here at BR and I said yes. And then he tells he's Brunsnick.
So we got to chatting about the old Big B classics and talking about their newer stuff. I told him how I wanted a Gold Rhino ever since I saw his video of the ball on his web site.
A few minutes later he comes back and drops a box on me with a brand new Damage in it! I open the box and he wrote, "It's not a Gold Rhino Pro but it'll still match up" on it. What an unbelievably cool thing that was.
Thanks to Brunswick, Brunsnick, and Ronnie for making my night!

That is awesome. The damage is another good ball by Brunswick. Good luck with the new ball.

I knew BrunsNick was there, if i'm correct..he was sitting in the back corner, left of the television settee area. bright green Big B shirt, with those awesome goggles that he's wearing in his newest video on his site. Holding up the Brunswick rebate poster, IIRC..

I got this ball punched up yesterday and had a quick chance to try it out this morning. The lanes were leftover from leagues or open play the night before... not sure.
Anyway, this ball is a backend monster! Between the high RG core and highly polished PK18 pearl cover, it goes loooooooong, saving up it's energy. Then it revs up like crazy when it hits the dry and drives through the pins very hard. I could hook it or play it straighter. I don't have anything in my bag quite like it.
This is going to be a great ball for me. Thanks again Nick!
