You could also put a cap on it and use it as an advertising space for rent

Is that a recreational x-hole?

I believe the size of that hole makes the ball illegal.  Better check before using the ball in a santioned league or tournament

What's the maximum-sized weight hole allowed? and how deep are you allowed to drill it?

hey ric,

does the bevel on the x-hole count towards the size of the hole?

so, that would be a YES for USBC and NO for PBA?
is the USBC extra critical of the bevel or the exact size of the x-hole?

yes, at nationals they are critical...  made a guy I went with plug and redrill his weight hole because it was 1 1/4" w/ bevel...  they said the opening of the hole was larger than 1 1/4...which made the ball illegal...

Wow, I didn't know a plug cutter would drill a hole . .  I'd have to agree that the weighthole looks to be a 1 3/8ths, because it's noticeably larger than the hole drilled for the thumb slug, which looks to be 1 1/4th.

Plug cutters will definately drill a ball, but I would recommend a 1 3/8" pilot hole to start.
