MAny users have these on their balls???

Could you give a little more description of reaction you've had with them?

         When and which Brunswick did you decide to try. Is this a first Brunswick for you ? Not being critical, just haven't seen many of your posts in Bruns section.

          To answer your question, I have a Scorchin drilled 4E.   Very smooth reaction as advertised. Very rolly and reads very well in the mids with a smooth but still strong backend move. I like this drilling much more than the 3L I had on another Scorchin. That one was too little too late. ( I am sure my above average ball speed was the reason) 4E seems to fit better.   Only draw back is if the lanes break down and force me left with my feet beyond swinging the track or playing up the oil at 13 ...15  then backend recovery gets a little soft as you move deeper and can get some soft tens, but then it is time to put it away. Overall a very predictable and strong mid drilling on this ball.

Over the years I have used a lot of brunswicks but the oil conditions I am on are definitively drier and was thinking of trying one again.

I've tended to more often use the zones of the assymetric series lately and powergrooves.

BUT I was considering an Absolute inferno and was debating one of these for our dry midlanes but long pattern sloppy backend conditions that stronger cores seem to do well on.

I know this is a Bruns board and I use all ball manufactures, but this condition, oil heads, dry midlane , and sloppy backs.... The new Black Widow sure comes to my mind.....this thing is clean through the heads and mids with a great back end assy core move. Drilled one for a good friend lefty , pin above ring 1" and MB 2" left of thumb. 3" pin ball....Al

The 4E and 4L drillings are mainstays in my arsenal.  For me, these are the prototypical "control" drillings.  Both layouts give me a clean look in front.  The 4L tends to be a bit longer, and a bit stronger at the break, so I'll use the 4L on broken-down conditions where I still need some pop down the lane, and the 4E when the fronts are choppy but there's some wet-dry in the midlane or in back.

I don't usually go with the 3L layout by design, as it's essentially a 4L with a flare-increasing XH.  If I'm looking for more flare, I'll just use the 2L instead.  However, I have on occasion turned the 4L into the 3L by adding the hole.

4E is ultima ratio for scorched lanes with a Power Groove, and probably the easist drilling to control in the standard setups. Early roll, tame back end. Only with a truly flying back end you will see much hook, or when the ball is hopelessly over-aggressive. 4L is great for long thin oil, much of a hockey stick like reaction. Low hook potential, but later than 4E and a bit snappier.
