Thinking of buying a Twisted Fury

Im looking for a ball for fresh PBA oil conditions that I bowl in and I was either thinking of getting the Twisted Fury or the new Copperhead that will be out next week. Is the Twisted Fury a good heavy oil ball? I already have the Fury Pearl and use that, so I was wondering if I would be able to use the Twisted for to start with, and then the pearl as the lanes start to break down. And Buddies is running a sale with them too. which ball would u recommend?

I wouldn't recommend the Twisted for heavy oil.  I think the Ultra Zone or new Copperhead would be a better fit on that type of condition.

Twisted isn't that great on the fresh PBA patterns.
I'd definitely go with the Copperhead for something like that.

I agree with JMORRIS. You would be better off with either a Ultra Zone, Blast Zone, or Copperhead.

You can pick up Red Zone really cheap. Sand one down to about 800 grit and you got youeself a real nice medium heavy condition ball.

I agree with the others that the Ultra Zone is a good choice for heavier oil. Save the Twisted Fury for medium oil. It is a monster on medium oil, for me anyhow.

Depends on whether you want length or recovery. Depends on your speed and rev rate. I like my red zone on just about every pba pattern except the shark, a blast zone handles it a lot better.

I’ve heard nothing but good things from everyone about the Red Zone that I recently bit the bullet and bought two (drilled one).

Haven’t tried it yet, but my driller, my ex-driller, and a few others here love it. I remember BrunsNick saying that whenever he can’t score on pba pattern, he always goes back to his Red Zone and Zone Classic.

I love my Classic and Inferno, so I have no doubt I will love my Red Zone.

As others have said, Twisted Pearl is not a heavy oil ball.

Twisted Fury Solid is announced (release unknown yet), which sounds a lot more suitable for oilier shots than the TFP - even though I do not think that it is a real soup ball like the (discontinued) Mammoth. But a better option, anyway.

C-Head is also a piece you will hardly make anything wrong with - low RG, sanded PK18 shell, good price. Anything you might ask for.
