Drilling Nexus Solid
« on: November 17, 2011, 04:55:44 PM »
I'm getting a Nexus solid drilled up today and was wondering if getting it drilled pin up will cause it to go to long. Everyone seems to say this ball doesn't hook early but I have better luck with pin up drillings because of not much tilt. My best drilling seems to be with a pin 4 1/2- 5 inch pin to pap and mb kicked out. Would that be a good choice for this ball.

IMO, go with it when the layout basically works for you and adjust the surface as needed.

You might also later add a balance hole to promote an earlier reaction, if needed.

Go for it. If you like pin up layouts, then you'll love this one.

sounds good. I think I am going to like this ball from what everyone is saying about it. Alot of times when I throw a heavier oil ball they don't save much for the backend.

I agree with all above...this ball does really well with surface adjustments.  I drilled mine 5" pin high 5" MB and it's still extremely aggressive.  I had to take the surface off of it to throw it on the China (not very much oil), but in other centers where there is volume it's a monster.
