Title: Thunderstruck vs. Domination
Post by: Bowlemdown on December 18, 2006, 01:35:31 AM
Thunderstruck has been a great ball for me. Recently got a Domination and This ball goes very straight. They're drilled exactly alike. Has anyone had this problem? I may need to scuff the Domination but wanted to see if anyone has the same problem. Thanks

And this is why the forums suck now, no one can give anyone even the smallest amount of respect. Love it. And fair game wtf is that supposed to mean? Is this a warzone now? You could always redirect him to the correct forum or hell, with someone like Hamlins knowledge I know he could put in something insightful. But no.

*Waits for typical "well he's stupid it's happened 10895845 times already I shouldn't have to be nice when they are in the wrong forum response.*

Well, I don't own the thunderstruck, but I can say that I've never seen a more angular ball than the domination...on the right condition. Perhaps you were bowling on a heavilly oiled shot? If not, there has to be something wrong with the ball or how it is drilled.

What the hell was wrong with Rics response? He was merely pointing out that the poster is in the wrong forum.

The real problem with this site right now Hex, is that everyone is to god damn sensitive, everyone takes even the most nothing comment as an insult and gets there feelings hurt.

How about we learn to play as adults and lighten up a little....

I do not own either ball but I have thrown them both. The Domination needs more oil then the thunderstruck (im assuming your is the solid), it could be that the Domination is burning up in the heads before 30' which would cause any ball to lose its hooking power. Instead of sanding the surface, try to the opposite and go polished with a higher grit. I really like the Thunderstruck and have been thinking about getting one. If only the balls fragrance wasnt over powering......

As for posting in the wrong forum, I'm sorry you got treated like you did. Dont put any thought into it and ignore them. Honest mistakes happen, you shouldnt be ridiculed for it.

On the internet people tend to be a bit more sensitive and easier to  take things the wrong way. Then on top of all that, we have the usual morons who like to try to start a keyboard commando internet argument. Some of those tend to succeed at doing this.

I think Ric's response was short and without editorial comment. You'll get better response in the Storm forum with this question. Let's all take a deep breath.

Anyhow, I found my Domination very angular. If you have a lot of carrydown it will skate, but once you get into the backend it makes a HUGE left turn. Fine ball.... for the right condition.

Can't we all just get along.. I mean come on already

You want to talk about mistakes... Lets read Mr. The Truth's post:

What else did you expect bowlemdown? It is the brunswick board after all & anyone and everyone are fair game even with an honest mistake like yours.

Umm.. how proper is it to say "brunswick board after all & anyone AND everyone are fair game...

I won't even start in with the fair game... but how many ANDs do you need buddy?!?!

Happy Holidays ALL!!!

Wow, I just can't, for the life of me, figure out why I stopped visiting these forums nearly as often, and especially not responding. Since when did bowling bring out such animosity amongst fellow bowlers. Seems 90% negative these days
on all the forums, not just BallReviews.com.

C'mon, Peeps, breath..............then smile.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,

group hug anyone?

Lighten up folks...it's JUST a forum.
sure, I don't make a whole heck of a lot of posts, but people perhaps need to lighten up just a smidge.
I really don't see how rich as jumping on him.
As for Nick....c'mon people...thats just nick up to his usual hijinx - he didn't mean anything by it.
Just my opinion.

As for the subject matter at hand, have not thrown either equipment.
btw..Brunswick staffers are perfect LOL
