Safest way to take the shine off of my raging inferno...??

I'm afraid to mess with it because it is a particle...

should I use scotch brite? Liquid sandpaper? Regular sand paper?



I don't really want to dull it, just take the shine off....

I'd suggest Trizact pads; this was the method recommended by Brunswick for years. From much personal experience, their covers respond extremely well to it. Abralon is the Ebonite method.

I've use the green scotch brite to dull it with good result, and I've try the 35micron Trizact...too much surface for my house.

Thanks...!!

I threw it last night and it was tough because of all the carrydown.....My inferno didn't make a move at all, and the raging was definately the ball to throw.  I took it down with a green scotchbrite this morning and then hit it with a little Track clean and smooth....we'll see how this affects it.

I also took the shine off of my inferno so it would read the lanes a little better...

I'll keep everyone posted...

it's interesting, the spec sheet that comes with the ball says, "high gloss polish". MINE looked like it was finished with the cerium oxide trizact pad( confirmed by my pro shop man ). sandpaper, scotch-brite pads, or trizact are all fine for taking the polish(?)off.
