To all the Brunswick experts

First of all I would like to thank everyone for their help . But I need help again . I purchase certain balls for the coming fall league , I need to feel a gap in my arsenal . Here is my line up that I have . Please feel free to give me your thoughts .

1. Ultimate Inferno - Heavy oil
2. Absolute Inferno - Medium w carrydown
3.Time Zone - Medium -Dry

What Brunswick ball would be good to fill in the gap between UI and AI and for under time zone would the monster Slayr or Blazing inferno would do the job ?
Thank you again for your opinion.

Inbetween UI and AI could be an Impulze/Warp Zone.
Inbetween AI and Time Zone would be the Zone Classic Green Pin/OI.
Under Time Zone would be a Zone Classic Red Pin.

When you say, "fill a gap..", do you mean that you've got a four ball bag and you're looking to fill it up...??  Otherwise, that lineup looks solid.

The AI is so versatile that you need nothing 'tween it and the UI. Fill the huge gap under the Time Zone. Pick up a Power Groove. Or better yet, shine up a urethane Groove and make it a dual use Spare Ball / Dry lane ball.

Agreed. I see no gap between the UI and AI. There may be a small gap betweem the AI and time zone but what I see a problem for is dry lanes. The time zone is not exactly a weak ball...I like RandyO's idea, shine up a urethane PG and you got yourself a good dry lane ball/spare ball.

I'm sure that will work. Get the urethane PG and shine er' up. The OI should fit inbetween the AI and Time zone. Just make sure your pro shop knows what you want and you'll be fine. Good luck.

Point of clarification:  There is currently no such thing as a urethane Power Groove.  There is a urethane Groove, but it just has the standard pancake puck on top, and thus doesn't have the RG differential of the Power Grooves.

However, if you're looking for the best of both worlds, you might want to give the Power Groove Dry/R a look.  It hooks about as much as a shiny urethane Groove, and thus is straight enough to be a spare ball, but it hits a *lot* better.

I stand corrected by Dusty...the urethane Groove...my bad. Only reason I did not recommend the Pg dry/r is because I have heard that if you have hand the pg dry/r is too jumpy for dry.

i'm not sure the absolute inferno is such a good pick for medium conditions with carrydown----the medium part yes, but my experience with pearlized balls on carrydown has not been good. i think the monster slay/r would be a good choice for drier lanes---get one while you can. also, you should be able to get the inferno at a great price since it's been discontinued. you'll find it's a great ball---very versatile and a great roll.
