so a haus machine spins faster then a spinner? if thats true your haus machine must be supercharged or your spinner is powered by a squirrel.

The Haus machines that we use in the plant spin at 150 rpm which is similar to or slower than most ball spinners.

I haven't seen the new video, but if possible, do some on some flatter patterns.  My complaint with many of the videos on THS (including BrunsNick's) is that most balls look practically the same.  When a dull particle and a polished reactive look practically the same, what's the point?  Has anyone seen a video thrown on a wall make a ball look bad?

In defense of using the THS for the videos:  What shot do the majority of bowlers face the majority of the time?  That's why!
 
Also, if Brunswick puts out a "flat" pattern or "sport shot", their high end ball would look weak in comparison with every other manufacturer whose videos are also shot on the THS.  Now, if every ball company put down the "flat shot" for their vids, then Joe Bowler can compare.  And what is the chance of that happening?  Less than zero...

By the way, if you're planning on using a pearl reactive for a flat or higher volume shot, you'd better be throwing it REAL SLOW.  That is why particle balls and solid reactives exist.

I don't mean to sound... mean, but Brunswick is doing a fine job on their videos.  It's nice to see Billy Orlikowski throwing the ball, too.  It's something we should all strive for...

Yeah, no other company really makes ball videos besides Lane 1, and with Savoia throwing the ball, it's hard to tell anything about the ball.  Sure the video was short, but you really don't need more than a few shots to get a read on a ball.  Just a longer and stronger Fury basically, which is just about what all pearl/solid compliments give you.  My Fury moves pretty strong on the backend though . . has trouble with lots of head oil though.  I need another solid though, have too many pearls.  Still want it though!

Just about all balls look the same on a THS, so what's the point.  On BrunsNick's previous video, Ric Hamlin had to ask what balls/layouts/cover stock prep Nick was using.  If the guy who designs the balls can't tell what they are, what am I supposed to get out of it?  Do you really need help picking out yet another ball for a THS?

Au contraire.  I found many balls that weren't anything special on a THS really impress me on flatter patterns.  Also, sport shots and PBA patterns require that the back ends are freshly stripped, so there is no reason for the balls to not shine.  There's normally plenty of hook available on all the PBA shots except Shark, so I don't understand your argument.  Also, I can't ask for a true comparison video within the same manufacturer, but you want to ask for a standard video type between all manufacturers?

I never said I wanted a pearl for a high volume shot, so I don't even know where that comment even came from.  There are plenty of pearls (Absolute Inferno, Total Inferno, Mean Machine...) that will handle a pretty decent volume of oil.  Plenty of pearls can also be used on flat shots, just not typically the skid flip ones.

He asked what we wanted and I told him.  If I'm looking for a certain reaction, I don't care what it can do on a THS.  99% of everything can look good there, so pick your favorite color, stand left, throw right, and rev it up (slight exaggeration).  Especially on a comparison video, I need to see what the balls do different, not what they all do the same.

Guys Guys Guys I don't want this to get ugly like some strings can. I just wanted some New Idea's and you all have made good points. Please keep the fresh ideas coming. Whether its Sport or THS you have to match up the Demo ball to the amount of Oil Volume/Length to your physical game parameters. On House Shots you can move a little left or right and still hit the pocket with most balls and see some differences but on Sport its true you will see a larger differences in ball characteristics because the pattern is flatter with no "Free Hook".  The backend could still be strong or smooth depending on the length of the oil.

Also to answer your questions about Gold Scotch Brite (07745 - purchased at any automotive supply shop) it’s very equal to 2000 Abralon.

What do you think this is, the Lane #1 forum?  I have sent a PM to Strider that will hopefully ease any tension that may exist.

Every bowler can only comment based upon his / her own experience on the various patterns and equipment matching up, etc.

Brunswick has been kind enough to send me one of everything they've produced for a few years now, and I have thoroughly enjoyed selling and throwing their equipment.  Some balls are more condition-specific, such as the Mammoth, but they all have their place and so far their quality is unmatched by anyone.
 
I have seen balls from other companies as they've gone through some cracking issues, but as of yet haven't had one of my Brunswicks disappoint.  Ric Hamlin has also been a great asset to Brunswick and is always available should I need a question answered or help with a layout, etc.  Keep producing the great stuff.

Not an easy task, but a video I would love to see is how different balls in an arsenal, with similar layouts, can be used on lanes as they break down.  For example using the 40 ft house shot, starting with the Fury on the fresh, moving to the Fury Pearl after 10 or so games, then moving to one of the newer less agressive balls after 10 or 20 more games.  

Im also a big fan of videos that are not all strike shots.  Like when you throw a ball like the Fury and it goes high, and you show how throwing the same line with the Pearl puts it back into the pocket.

Now before the flame fest hits, and tell me to just move a few boards and adjust...  When I travel a lot and do tourneys, sometimes its safer for me to just change balls rather than lines, because the reaction of my own equipment is more predictable than lanes im not used to.  So a video like this would help me and my driller build an arsenal.

Just my 2 cents
