Well Yesterday was a bad day. Bowling in a Monday morning league I was using my Total Inferno. This ball has been amazing for me all season long. I started out the morning Shooting a nice 246 game. I was rolling along. Well the second game started and on the first shot my Total meet what could be it retirement. The ball got stuck in back and when it came back it was my worest nightmare. The belt ground a nice inch and a half flat spot right next to my track area. The Bowling center is going to try and fix it but I do not have high hopes.
So it it looks like I am in the market for a 15 lb, 2-3in pin, with 2.5- 3 oz top weight Total. I hope I can find one quickly as it was always my first ball out.

Can't THEY replace the ball?

Yeah, they need to replace that ball. Getting a flat spot out that size will be almost an impossible task.

If they don't replace it. Contact Joe at allstar he has some color blems with good specs. They are listed in one of the below threads.
-
they need to replace he ball resufacing will leave a flat spot
plus the performance
of the ball can be greatly reduced

What if they own a Haus machine.. or CAB's? Then surely the ball wouldn't have a flat spot from resurfacing. I think the issue would be how much needs to be sanded to get the ball back into round. If its quite a large flat spot, you may be S.O.L.
I think ASB has some advertised for $99 shipped... a great price

Well I am very surprised with the job they did. They were able to fill it with a resin material and you can hardly see it. Plus I do not have to worry about the material differnce since I was able to toss a game with it and my Track is about a 1/2 inch away from the spot. I may still buy another total inferno. Just because it is just one sweet ball.
-
Glad to hear it. I just love it when my Total matches up. It is just one flat out awesome ball.
-
I just heard a comparison by a big brunswick guy.
He says the total is all midlane and the Fury is all about continuous backend.
A great 1- 2 combo for different conditions.
From watching him throw both I agree!
Both awesome balls for what they are good for.
REgards,
Luckylefty
PS However after watching also throw the RED...I think my first pickups would be the RED Zone and Fury if I was going there!
