Tour de France Cycle Race?
« on: July 05, 2007, 07:57:23 PM »
I know that even if I had the same bicycle as Lance Armstrong I'd never win the Tour de France!!

I've recently seen someone bowling VERY well with a Vapor Zone and I'm thinking about getting one.  I know it's probably the bowler and not the ball but still.

The thing is that I already have a Red Zone, so I need to know what differences can I expect in ball reaction between the two Zones?  They have the same core (it's just a different coverstock)?

I certainly wont buy the Vapor if it's reaction is close to that of the Red Zone.

Thanks

Reaction-wise, the VZ is a bit longer and more angular at the break point than the RZ, but overall the balls are pretty close to each other concerning the amount of oil they handle.

Sure, with a different drilling you might set them apart reaction-wise, and with some surface adjustments you will create a better "gap" between them concerning lane conditions. But if these are your only balls and you want to have a broader arsenal, I would not recommend both in the bag at the same time. But that's just my personal opinion

Thanks, dizzy,

I have a chance to try out a new driller in the near future (at the end of the month).  This is a very rare occasion as, in France, drillers are few and far between!!

I might just get this ball anyway to try out the new driller.  I've always thought that my span was a little short with my actual driller, but he refuses to drill me a ball with a longer span.  He says it will give me tendonitis in my hand!
