There are multiple factors that influence how balls read and react however, to keep things simple, if you were to drill the solid and pearl identically and keep them in their factory surface conditions, the solid would be inclined to offer earlier and stronger overall traction in oil. The pearl, on the other hand, would tend to read the lane a bit later save more of its movement for the backend.

That's the general picture, but keep in mind the reactions that you could/would see can be drastically altered by drilling layouts, surface prep, and lane conditions. For instance, the pearl would probably outhook the solid if you threw the two on a drier pattern because the solid would burn up early while the pearl would save more energy throughout the lane, making the pearl appear stronger overall.

Thanks, I didnt know the Twisted Fury was a pearl. I got the Twisted Fury Solid a couple of weeks ago and all I can say is WOW! does that ball fit my style.

Its funny cause at first I thought it was a pos but after messing around with the cover and slowing down my speed somewhat this ball is really impressive.

 I'm thinking of getting the Twisted Fury just because its a pearl. However, to me there is some confusion as to the balls power.

 Going over a lot of reviews its seems that the ball is a hooking monster or its a very tame ball. What I am looking for is a ball that is tame so I can throw it on

the same line that I was throwing Twisted Fury Solid so would the Twisted Fury be what I am looking for or perhaps the new ball thats about to come out the Twisted Fury Destruction.

You have to realize that with the strong Mass Bias rating of this ball, you have to be both relatively accurate in drilling the ball for your release AND you have to be relatively consistent with your release to use it as drilled.

PLUS with the relatively small (acutally medium low) RG differential, most of the backend comes from the cover and the asymmetric core, and, of ocurse, your release.

Like many strong asymmetrics, this ball can be almost anythign you want it to be, if drilled correctly and the surface (on both the solid and the pearl) is easily adjustable. Personally I added a light bit of hand-applied polish for my release and my conditions.

I hazard a guess, that if your driller drills it correctly for you and what you want/need, you will LOVE this ball. I was veyr surprised by the amount of backend I got out of this ball BECAUSE my new release is smoother and reduces a ball's backend compared to my previous release. But it's not a huge backend.
