cracked radical inferno
« on: December 01, 2008, 08:39:37 AM »
Does anyone know who I would contact about a cracked radical. I have only had this ball about 10 months and it cracked in half. Also had a punisher that cracked. Want to see if brunswick will do anything. Thanks in advance

My friend has one that did the same thing as yours. Cracked all the way around. So we took a huge sledge hammer and smashed it up, it was funny!

Try the pro-shop guy you bought it from.  If you bought it on-line, contact jls, he can point you in the right direction.

i had a morich sahara crack today, i think it also has a bruinswick cover.  i had moved my bowling balls from the garage inside the house several months ago to prevent cracking from temp swings but obviously it didn't help.  i know it happened this afternoon while i was out bowling because i examined the ball prior to leaving home while considering taking it along to practice with.  i think there is a qa problem somewhere in their process.

If I remember correctly, the Sahara has the same coverstock as the Brunswick Punisher.

Monster, when you least expect it, expect it!!!!

Now to answer this,  if he had bought this ball from a pro shop, I seriously doubt he would be on this site asking for what to do.  So he may have either bought it online or got it from a basement ball driller.

A pro shop would warranty the ball, no problem!!!
Of course you have to make sure the ball was drilled according to Brunswick's specs:

Also this ball was out in 06,  so if he bought it in 08,  he might have bought it online on closeout.  I seem to remember drilling a lot of these in 07, bought on closeout.  Now that could be a problem.

Our warranty is 1 year from the date of purchase. You would need to take the ball back to the shop that you bought it from with proof of purchase that shows the date of purchase. The shop would then be able to get the warranty done for you with a replacement ball from their distributor. If you bought the ball online, you would need to contact that site and see what they'll do for you. Not sure if they all handle them the same. All I know is that Brunswick will stand by their warranty as stated.

Thankyou BB,  excellent post.  Now this may help answer question's that us pro shops get daily on this site. " Why not buy from online dealers?"  This is a perfect example of why we don't, or at least I don't.

You see, if bought thru our Big B dist.  no problem with a warranty issue.  But if we buy it online, then we did not buy it from a Big B dist., therefore the warranty of a ball could become a serious issue.

Not worth it to me!!!!!  So we will buy only from a Dist.  Even if it does cost us more sometimes.

Multiply this problem by how many ball companies?  How many bag companies?  How many shoe companies?  How many accessory companies?  Having a good relationship with your distributors helps take care of all these issues.  Online etailers are just that, retailers on the internet, they do not want to deal with customer service and warranty issues.

Pro shops buying from etailers, yeah right....
