Twisted Fury Destruction vs Rattler
« on: April 16, 2009, 07:52:16 PM »
It seems that there isn’t much love for Twisted Fury Destruction. There are not many reviews and I have not seen one thrown.

Is TFD such a bad ball?

If you have tried both, how does TFD compare with Rattler? (length, backend, mid-lane, angularity, volume of oil handled etc)

I have a Twisted Fury Pearl and love it, also love my Original/Absolute Infernos. Just wondering the differences between TFD & Rattler.

Thanks.

Charlie,
I have both the Destruction and Rattler. the Destruction is drilled with the pin below and between the fingers at 5 from the PAP. The Rattle is above and between the fingers at 5 from the PAP also. I had both of them at OOB until they got eaten up at a old wood house. Now TFD is 500 with rough bough on top and rattler  is 500 with extra shine  over the top (attempting to replicate the factory surface). Let me say that I love the TFD it's my start the night ball. Plays very even arc to the pocket don't have the over under problems I had with the original Twisted.  The Rattler I go to when the lanes start to break down and I need some extra length. The Rattler gives a great late lane movement. One of the guys on my team has a OOB Cell and when he's having a hard time getting a ball to finish, I just tighten up the line and don't have that problem with the Destruction. Much Love for the TFD. Hope this helps

In my opinion the Destruction gets better as the lanes start to transition and get ugly - maybe the 3rd - 6th games on a pattern. I do like mine better than the original Twisted because it's more predictable.

The Rattler goes longer and is more angular for me, so whenever the backends are crisp and I want more entry angle it's tough to beat.

Much love for both of them!

That’s interesting, my TFP is pretty predictable.

Anyway, since the Fury series have been discontinued, I’m just pondering whether to ‘stock up’ one more TF Pearl, or try the TFD. Thanks!
