Does anyone know the OOB finish on the Twisted Fury?  The tech sheet only says Rough Buff finish.  I'd like to know the grit of the surface beneath the Rough Buff finish.

Is it a hybrid too? I know it says reactive, but I remember someone one telling me it's actually a hybrid.

One of, if not my favorite ball of all time... My only regrets is not buying one new
I bought one used that wasnt even in the greatest of shape even for a ball that i was going to have to plug and redrill... When i was done working my plug magic, that ball had a built in gps that zeroed in not just to the 1-3 pocket, but to that magical high flush strike zone where you just cannot ever miss.  I resurfaced mine after plugging it with diamond pads, then 360, 500, 800 then rough buff.  After the rough buff, i found it worked best by slightly removing a lil bit of shine with a worn 2000 pad dry by hand

Im very interested in trying out the destruction. So hmu if anyone has one cheap

Incorrect.  All of the Rough Buff balls of that time were 220 then Rough Buff.  Ironically, it says it right in the linked PDF.  "Sand to 220-grit then use Brunswick’s Factory Finish Rough Buff to restore the original factory finish on rough buff balls."

No, sorry, not all the balls were finished that way; only most of them.
If you look at Brunswick's own documentation that I referenced you will see that the Twisted Fury pearl was different. It was 400 grit + Rough Buff,
Plus I had one. Its out-of-the-box finish is a polished or shined look/appearance, which is what happens with Rough Buff over a 400 grit sanding. The normal finish of Rough Buff over a 220 grit sanding produced the equivalent of a 4000 grit matte or dull appearance.

I did reference it. It says that Factory finish is Rough Buff.  I don't see anything about 400 grit. If you look at how to return to factory finish, it says 220 + Rough Buff.


I had 2 of them and they were the same finish visually as others at Rough Buff. 

At the bottom of the first page of the PDF it says sand to 400-grit and apply Rough Buff.

Right from the Brunswick website:

If you think your Brunswick ball has lost some of its “Out of the Box” reaction, restore the ball to its original factory finish listed on the product information sheet. This is especially important for balls that are highly sanded or polished.

Sand to 400-grit then use Brunswick’s Factory Finish High Gloss Polish to restore the original factory finish on high gloss polish balls.

Sand to 220-grit then use Brunswick’s Factory Finish Rough Buff to restore the original factory finish on rough buff balls.

For dull balls, wet sand with the sandpaper listed on the product information sheet
