1.5" Pin to Pap Smash Zone

1.5" Pin to Pap, cg toward center of grip, no hole.

I drilled this ball for the World Championships in Thailand. I was considering drilling up a Swarm, but when this ball came in with a pin in and only 1.5ozs of top weight it was perfect for my little experiment.

I consulted RICO and we may put a hole 1.5" past the VAL on a line from the pin through my axis. It's definitely a trick drilling which works well smoothing out extreme wet dry side to side and also on very short sport patterns. The shot is 34' and once I beat up the outside with my urethane for a while and my solid avalanche, 6 games to be exact, the ball came alive and I couldn't miss. I shot 260, 250 playing 7 out to 3 or so. Using the ball too early was severe over under if I missed my target slightly.

The ball looks awesome and I can't wait to drill another with a more normal layout.

I LOVE my Smash Zone. The carry has been very good for me so far, too.

I absolutely hated mine.  It spent it's energy extremely fast and was very touchy.  I was sad bc it has my favorite cover and favorite core.  Everyone is bound to have a ball not work for them, oh well.
