Twisted Fury / Twisted Fury Destruction
« on: October 23, 2008, 04:51:54 AM »
Looking at Brunswicks Oct-08 ball comparison chart, the TF + TFD are pretty close.  Does that mean the original TF is going to be discontinued soon? or is it going to stay in Brunswicks 2009 lineup? cheers

Just looked at the chart. They are not close. The TFD is 2 notches higher than the TFP. While that's physically close on the chart's appearance, you have to realize what that means in terms of the ball's reaction. I haven't tried a Destruciton yet, but that position usually means a lot more length and a lot more flip at the backend.

I certainly hope that the TFD will not replace the TFP. I don't see it doing that. For many people the TFP was already too flippy. Personally I like it just the way it is, even on the slippery Brunswick AnvilLane surface.

The early reports are that the Destruction is MUCH more responsive and angular when it hits friction.

Fo Sho!!!! I agree. The TFD is much cleaner through the midlane, than the Twisted Pearl, with much more angular backend. I don't know what it is is, but this ball looks like it picks up more rotation as it goes further down the lane. It strikes alot!!!!

I must concur with Bruns4life. This ball is VERY special. Gets down the lane with ease with a very strong backend.

My first game using this ball was a 300 on the final game of qualifying at the PBA Regional in Bowling Green, OH this past weekend. After trying every other B ball in my bag for games 5, 6 & 7 (and going 184, 189, 197), I switched to my new TFD and threw the front twelve in game 8. It is DEFINATELY more angular than any other ball in the Brunswick line.

And as bruns4life stated, it seems to pick up revolutions as it gets downlane.

This could very well be the reactive pearl ball of the year!!!

It is the way that it tractions on the lane.

It appears that it may be Brunswick's most angular piece, by a bit. It is much more responsive than most pearls in the oil, but loses nothing in the friction. It is the pearl on steroids.

And it has to be good if Verbs threw the front 12 with it. I would have been more impressed if it was the back 12 though.

Verbs and I are BrunsJects!

so when it hits friction it flips like a pearl but when in oil it picks up like a solid.. I don't thrown much brunswick stuff but I may have to drill this one up..

Come on people...This describes every new ball that comes out...lol

When are we going to relize that this ball will pretty much do what every other ball does on a THS ?

Trust me, neither the Destruction or Maxxx Zone respond to friction like any other Brunswick ball. They are both more angular, as well as continual.
