Was looking at an older brunswick comparison chart and the twisted fury is plotted near the rattler.. just says it handles a little less oil.

looking to see if anyone has some real world information on the two balls.

IME the two are very similar in terms of overall hook, but the Rattler is cleaner through the front and more defined at the break.

I used to use the Twisted to even out front to back on shorter patterns, while for me, the Rattler is better suited to conditions where the track has broken down and I can make parallel moves.

Rattler has a sharper backend than the Twisted for sure.

Can the rattler get too snappy and uncontrollable if I went with a longer than 5" pin to pap up near the VAL..?
Any over under issues with the rattler ??
If you know, how would it compare to the Black Widow Pearl.

looking for something to complement my sidewinder.

Oh, I don't think you'll need to worry about the ability of the Rattler to complement the Sidewinder, as the two have different hook shapes.

Even when polished, I couldn't generate a change of direction from the Sidewinder, as it remained relatively even from front to back. In contrast, even when scuffed, the Rattler still wants to make a defined move at the break.

great.. that is what I am looking for.. for some reason Tom T. at brunswick kept steering me toward the Diamondback or Python..

didn't know if there was something wrong with the rattler that I didn't know about.

still looking for something between the rattler/ sidewinder and the avalanches.
Still not sure if something is needed or if the Avalanche solid is enough to fill the gap..
