Title: Twisted Vs Fury Pearl
Post by: jtoll on May 12, 2008, 07:08:15 AM
If I got both and did the exact same layout on both. How much would they differ in reaction.

I have both and IMO if the balls are drilled the same with surface adjustments the Ultra would be a little earlier and a little stronger on the backend. Both great balls.

With both at factory surface and similar layouts, the Fury Pearl is a little earlier and can handle slightly more oil. The Twisted should be used closer to friction and as the lanes break down for best results.

True.

The Twisted will go longer and (for me) have a sharper breakpoint. The Fury, in oob condition, will handle more oil and is definately sooner..

The fp for me is much more angular requiring me to play deeper angles. The twisted is angular at the breakpoint as well but pushes down the lane further. I haven't found a condition I liked the twisted on oob. I may take it to 4k, or to 2k w/polish to smooth it out a bit.

Given the choice I would take the twisted over the fp.

I was thinking of comparison of the Ultra and Twisted. My mistake. I agree with the other posters that the FP is more angular and stronger overall than the Twisted. The Twisted will get down the lane a little cleaner and has a strong move off the breakpoint. I have found my Twisted gives me the best overall reaction at 2000 abralon.
