Two of the best from the Big B?

I'm looking to overlap my small arsenal with two heavier balls (i currently use 13lb balls and i'm getting a couple of 14's), but since i don't want to carry an army base with me, i can only get a TZone spare ball and two hooking balls.

Descriptions of my shot here: Medium revs, slightly below medium speed and normal track. I don't have any real preference on balls, however i'm interested to try a particle.

sidewinder & Rampage?  Can't go wrong with the BVP balls... great performance and great price.

Sidewinder (particle - hybrid) and either the Vapor Zone or Fury Pearl. You can't miss with these.

The solid original Fury is incredibly versatile, you can make it do anything you want to.  That and a BVP ball ought to set you up pretty well, thinking the Rampage.

I have a solid fury and it is a very strong ball, especially when in its out-of-box finish.  It will handle heavy amounts of oil, but is very versatile and surface changes are pretty easy without making the ball real finicky.  I have mine highly polished and it is a lot more skid/snap than before, but will still read the heavier side of our house conditions with EASE.  I think I could even use it on a much heavier condition, even with the polish.

  If you are wanting to try a particle, I have to agree with the sidewinder for that.  I don't personally own one, but a guy I bowl with does.  The ball clears the heads cleaner than I thought it would, picks up the lane well in the mids with a really good transition phase, and never quits on him in the backends. Good control with power to get those corners out.

  The knock that I have heard on the Rampage is that it is a bit too oil sensitive and that carry down affects it quite a bit.

To keep it simple, I'd check out a Wizard (solid PK18, great stuff) and a Power Groove Pearl. Real good combo for the bucks, durable and easy to handle. The Wizard is easily tuned on the surface to match different needs, and the PGs are stronger than one would think, a very good choice for light oil.

I own a Wizard, and i'm not too big on it, however these would be my likely options from your suggestions:

Fury Solid, possibly with 2000 or 4000 Abralon for med-heavy
Sidewinder with weaker drill for med-dry, i'm not going to find much use for a very weak ball in the places where i'm going to bowl in.
TZone for covering any one pin spare.

i have both a vapor zone and the solid fury.  the vapor zone is tremendous all around ball, i can circle the lane or play up 8 board with it, either way it has a strong move to the pocket. the fury revs up at the arrows for me, and still has plenty of energy for the pins (i tried leaving a 7 pin intentionally for 2 games and couldnt).  ive also read that the fury pearl hooks about the same as the vapor zone, but has a little more length.
