red pin classic?
« on: March 22, 2006, 06:30:35 AM »
I read a post question somewhere on this site that talked about a red pin classic for dry lanes.  What ball is that?  I can't seem to find it.

The Zone Classic. There is a red pin and green pin. The red pin is for light to dry.

The Red pin Classic was the first batch of the Classic Zone, it dried to fast and set-up to hard resulting in an Activator coverstock better suited for lighter oil pattern's! Brunswick realized the mistake and canned the full batch and sold them to on-line distibutor's! Brunswick re-released the Classic Zone with the full properties of the Inferno coverstock, it was and is the Green Pin!

Da SEAHAWKS are gonna win it all Next Year, if the NFL will allow it!

Not quite the red pin has a totally diffent coverstock on it,  It has the zone core with the coverstock that is on the monster slayer which is not activator,it has the powerkoil ls cover on it.

Boy do I love bowling, stone 8,stone 9, ringer 7,fly by 10,fast six got to love this game.  Short look at what most of my games look like with a few strikes peppered in between.  Isn't it wonderful.

not an accurate statement on the coverstock. According to the brunswick reps on this site the cover cured too hard. It is activator.

Yeah, it's Activator that cured too hard.  Higher rev players may not like it, but the most important flaw is that it's very speed sensitive.  I absolutely LOVE mine, but the conditions have to be there, and I have to watch my speed.  As long as I hit up on it, I'm usually ok, but the lanes have to start dry and then burn some for it to really show up.  You can get them at www.bowlingball.com for $56 shipped.  Now how can you beat that?  I'm gonna get two to stick in the closet . .

Is this the ball you are talking about?

It's not a red pin, but it is a zone classic.
