Ultimate Inferno vs Maxxx
« on: April 03, 2009, 08:18:57 AM »
My bag consists of the following:
Ultra
Twisted Fury

Both of these balls pretty much perform at the same level regardless...wanting to get something that has more reaction in oily conditions.  Just bought the Ultimate Inferno but am having second thoughts.  Should of done my homework better for it looks like the Maxxx may have been as good or better alternative.  Any thoughts on the 2 balls?  If nothing else, will save up and get the Maxxx this fall if it will perform significantly better in the oil.  Starting to accumulate numerous balls...thats ok but I would hope that each one would serve a specific purpose with the various lane conditions.

Have even considered the Columbia Resurgance and the Rogue Cell....have only seen one bowler around here that uses the Resurgance......decisions, decisions, decisions...

Suggestions would be welcome...

thanks

John

Both my Ultimate and Maxxx are fairly close to each other, however the Maxxx may be a little more angular late. I keep them both around 2000 abralon for a good overall reaction.

Every ball you mentioned can be an excellent piece with the right layout and surface. The Rogue has a hybrid cover so it should make the strongest move late, but for that same reason may not quite be considered a heavy oil ball. I guess it depends on your definition of "heavy oil". Good luck.
