Inferno/Raging Inferno Coverstock Prep
« on: January 19, 2004, 09:33:11 AM »
Hey guys, I wanted to ask for some help as far as these two balls go. I have both drilled stacked leverage and I'm well pleased with both of them when I match up well with the condition. I do have a question though. My Raging is sanded to 400 grit giving me an early, yet not too early, smooth big hook. My regular Inferno is box finish and I'm starting to notice quite a bit of over/under with it. I enjoy the skid/snap reaction I'm getting out of it and would prefer to keep things this way. Is there anything I can do to eliminate some of the over/under I'm getting here? Thanks in advance for the help.

You might try hitting it with some sort of really smooth compound like Storm 1 or Storm 2. It'll knock the glaze off the ball but still not leave it "dull". I've used it on a few shinier balls for customers, and they seem to like the foot or 2 of earlier read, but it doesnt sacrifice a strong move to the pocket.
