What do you think of this PG drilling....
« on: October 04, 2004, 01:41:30 PM »
I keep hearing that the PG is not a weak ball.  I picked one up and I hope that it can be my dry lane ball.  I drilled it with the pin 7" from my axis, thats right 7 inches.  The cg is in my palm.  I weighed it out, results were 1/8 neg side weight.

I plan on throwing it tomorrow.  I will post an update then.

There is doing in not doing what you weren't doing but doing in what you weren't doing to do what you were doing but not doing and doing as well

So don't do it!

I know a guy that has one(Ice Blue) with a 4 inch pin.  He put the pin 2 1/2 inches above his ring with the C.G under his middle finger with a crater of a weighthole in the finger positive quadrant. It has the most violent backend reaction out of ANY ball I've ever seen.  Then again, he does have godlike speed and revs but this thing outcorners everything Brunswick or Track that he has and that's going about 15-20 balls deep.

How far left of the middle finger does the pin end up?

Right next to the middle finger, I mean within a 1/16.

I would have to worry about anything over 6 1/2 to 6 3/4 inches from your axis point reverse flaring.  I think I tried that with a savage flip or pearl once, like a 6 3/4 pin above the fingers, and it reverse flared all over the holes. Good luck in your venture.

I am alittle worried about that myself.  We will see tonight.

lol, thats what i mean.  ugh, such an annoyance thump thump thump thump thump thump.  Especially when a 6 inch pin would've probably been just fine. :0

Well, it wasn't quite what I expected.  However, the overall results were somewhat impressing.  I didn't shoot great but it did keep me out of trouble in the last game when the lanes got squirrely.  It didn't thumb down the lane so all is good.

Thanks,
