T Inferno/Rampage Oil
« on: March 05, 2008, 02:37:01 PM »
Havin problems gettin all the oil out of these balls as well as a Storm Jolt. I clean after every use and hot water soak rinse weekly. Problem is when I sit them over heat vents or in front of heater I still have alot of oil ooze. I roll about 10-20gms a week and noticed the balls performance diminishing. Used cleaner from day 1 on all my balls. Suggestions please.

Thats weird cause this is my 2nd Rampage and 1st one I didn't clean well and it's worthless now, even roughed up surface ect.. but shop said the Rampage is know for holding oil. Have always cleaned the 2nd Ram and the TI but theres gotta be a good cleaner that will lift the oil from the coverstocks. I use The POWERHOUSE stuff currently.

Usually any reactive ball will need the Revivor after about 60-70 games. That period would be shortened if the ball was not wiped off between shots and cleaned after each use.

Denatured alcohol is pretty harsh. Although it may clean the cover well, using it straight may weaken the coverstock. Many commercial ball cleaners have it in them, but they are diluting it with other additives.

If you do decide to use it anyway, make sure it's not during league as it is illegal according to USBC.
