ULTRA ZONE
« on: February 04, 2008, 08:32:02 AM »
This ball is amazing, I threw it yesterday at a tournament.  This ball is real clean throught the heads, nice backend also.  All that I throw is brunswick, and I would have to say that this is probably the best ball I have thrown since the zone classic.  I would recommend this ball to everyone.  Great Job Big B!!!!

Thinking about getting one.

I bowl with a staffer, him and I have the same hand.  He got his Friday along with the avalanches.  I have not thrown either avalanche, but I will throw them tommorrow.

Boy...I was not impressed with the Ultra Zone on TV this weekend.  Bad carry.
Looked rolled out...a bunch(I know...that works some times).

I was very impressed with the dull Blast Zone Ciccone was throwing!

He looked so good...the best out there that day....sad.

The Ultra Zone was being thrown on the left lane, which was less predictable. I threw mine for the first time Tuesday and I'm liking it...

The right lane was where Ciccone threw the Blast Zone.

OH...the PBA site ONLY listed the Blast Zone for Ciccone and only listed the Ultra for Ronnie Russell.....is this wrong?

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS anyone see Ciccone's drilling anywhere?

Russell threw the Ultra on the left lane, while Ciccone threw the Blast on the right. Am I missing what you're getting at?

Did they then not throw anything on the opposite lane.

OR did the ball thrown on the other lane not have a name...or was I not paying attention enough...and Ciccone only threw on the right...and Russell on the left?

I really did fast forward...let's say...saw the show in 12 minutes about!

YES!

But seriously, Russell only bowled on the left lane, and Ciccone bowled on the right lane. I believe it was Fagan on the left and Wiseman on the right, too. I'm going by memory now, and at my advanced age that's pretty shaky!

I thought it was the other way around. The Blast Zone looked like a real clunker to me. That left lane appeared to be tricky and Russell had the best reaction by a mile of anyone on that lane. As for the Ultra rolling-out that's a combination of Russell's roll and and Brunswick ball. However, from my vantage point the Ultra looked ok.

Also remember that they're not bowling on the "house shot" so ball "reaction" can be deceptive - unless you're the guy throwing the ball.
